The Annealing process is a heat treatment that consists of heating the steel below the critical point A1 (pearlite transformation point) or above the critical point A3 (austenite transformation point) followed by a slow cooling, with the aim of softening the steel, leaving it in the appropriate conditions for its subsequent transformation.
APLICATIONS
All type of steels, although the most common are Carbon Steel and medium alloy steel, in parts in which it is requested grain regeneration, an optimal structure and hardness or eliminating internal stresses.
