PROCESS DESCRIPTION

The Nitriding process is a thermochemical treatment that consists of hardening the surface of the steel by adding nitrogen and its diffusion, improving this way parts wear and fatigue resistance while maintaining the toughness of the core.

APLICATIONS

Appropriate for stainless steels and high alloy steels in parts that once in service will be subject to wear, friction, rolling and/or contact.

PROCESS DETAILS

  • Heat treatments performed in vacuum furnaces and therefore suitable for its application in finished parts.
  • Minimum distortion.
  • Control and monitoring of process temperatures during all the heat treatment.
  • Register of all parameters and process controls, traceable with Customer registers.
