PROCESS DESCRIPTION

The Ionit-ox process is a thermochemical treatment that consists on the combination of Gaseous Nitrocarburization + Plasmanitriding + Post-Oxidation which aim is to harden the surface of the steel by adding nitrogen and its diffusion, improving this way parts wear and fatigue resistance while maintaining the toughness of the core.

APLICATIONS

All type of steels in parts that once in service will be subject to wear, friction, rolling and/or contact, with the exception of stainless steels for which it is necessary to perform ionic nitriding.
