The Stress Relief process is a heat treatment that consists of heating the steel below the critical point A1 (pearlite transformation point), with the aim of eliminating the internal stresses of the material generated in previous processes of machining, welding, etc., which can cause distortions of the material, without modifying either the structure or the mechanical characteristics of the part.
APLICATIONS
All type of steels, in parts that during previous processes have been subjected to operations that generate internal stresses such as machining, cold deformation, welding…etc.
